Methodology

When carrying out a UX task, I prefer to use the Double Diamond Methodology (pictured below), and to work in an Agile environment. The main reason for this is because the methodology allows you to break any project down into four very distinct, manageable parts, including: Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver. Please see the graph below for a breakdown of the various parts.

Working in an Agile environment…

The reason I prefer to work in an Agile working environment is because it allows for continued tweaking of the work whatever stage of the process you’re at, and allows for constant feedback (which normally includes working in a calm, quiet environment). This naturally allows the UX team to go back and make amendments to anything that may need tweaking, at any stage of the process.
